Ancient Egyptians believed that cats were divine representations of the Gods.
When cats passed away in Ancient Egypt, they were mummified and placed in tombs with their owners. And in 2018, a 4,500 year old tomb filled with gilded feline statues was discovered.
To say that cats were highly valued in society then, as they are now, is an understatement.
Cats provide love, companionship and add playfulness to life.
They also help with material security; just having their scent around can repel rodents from getting into food supplies.
There has even been recent research to confirm what cat lovers already knew – cats do form emotional bonds with their humans.
That bond between humans and their cat friends does continue in the afterlife.
Cats can be spiritually connected with you in three main ways. They can be:
Reincarnated beings from other lifetimes that you once knew
Spirit Guides or Animal Totems
Part of your honorary Spirit Team when they pass over
To connect with the Cat Spirits in your life, below are few ways the energy may appear:
Cat Spirits can sometimes be sensed as a presence.
I have often seen cat shaped spirit energies curled up at the feet of those I have read for. You may pick up on the impression of a curled up cat in bed with you soon after they pass.
Cat Spirits may be visible as a momentary hologram.
You may see a flash of them from out of the corner of your eye. This is especially true if your Cat Spirit is a deceased loved one.
Cat Spirits can come in dream visitations.
You may have a dream where they are the main character or you are directly playing with them.
Cat Spirits may reincarnate through new kittens or other pets.
Your old cat’s personality may suddenly appear in the personality of a new kitten, either yours or someone you know.
Cat Spirits can be called upon for guidance in meditation.
The same way you could call forward an Angel or Spirit Guide for wisdom in your inner wisdom moments, you can call upon the Cat Spirit Energy to come in as a totem or a deceased loved one.
All in all, the answer is yes, Cat Spirits do stay with us and most importantly, they are often energetically around and supporting whoever they bonded most with in this lifetime.
